Three-year restraining order obtained

A client of Casey Arbenz's has been harassed off and on for several years. On Friday, October 13th, Mr. Arbenz was able to convince a judge in Thurston County District Court to impose a three-year restraining order. Such orders are typically limited to one year but, based on the circumstances, Mr. Arbenz was able to convince the judge to order a longer term of restraint.

Credit for time served

During two consecutive weeks Lance Hester achieved anti-harassment orders for two separate clients.  One had been the subject of bullying and road-rage harassment by a co-worker; the other’s family had been stalked by a former baby sitter over the course of several months following termination of her services.

Lance Hester's client was facing a probable life sentence in Louisiana as well as federal criminal sex charges in the Western District of Washington. Thanks to Mr. Hester's expansive knowledge and negotiation, the case was settled globally and the client was able to avoid the life sentence.

Settlement for disabled plaintiff

Attorney Lance Hester secured a successful settlement for a disabled plaintiff whose rights were violated by a Woodinville strip mall owner. The result came about whem Mr. Hester pointed out the many instances where the property lacked appropriate wheelchair access.

In Chehalis Municipal Court today, Mr. Purtzer convinced the prosecutor to allow his client to enter a diversion agreement that will lead to dismissal of his Domestic Violence charges (Malicious Mischief in the third degree). The client is thrilled to have this issue behind him.

No jail time for client looking at more than 10 years

Brett Purtzer's client was involved in a marijuana grow operation for a dispensary - or so she thought. Due to lack of proper licensing, she was charged with unlawful manufacturing of 100's of marijuana plants and firearm possession charges and firearm enhancements. Had she gone to trial, the client would faced more than 10 years in prison. Mr. Purtzer secured a plea deal with an exceptional sentence of no jail or prison time. The client was thrilled to avoid prison.

Domestic Violence Protection Order
